Getting a File Ready For Laser Cutting
After you draw your parts, What then? All
parts must be laid-out on rectangles that represent the raw balsa or plywood material that the parts will be cut from. Below
are examples of this. Remember... our table cannot accept anything over a 12"x 24"
sheet of material. Parts longer than this can be "finger jointed" to get the length you need. Balsa sheets in the
3"x 24" or 4"x 24" ,etc, are okay. Sheets can be less than 24" long. This would constitute a typical LASER file. ALL of
the parts for one kit can be on one file, but they must be separated into their respective size materials. The size of
the sheets should be noted as well as the quantities of each sheet to be cut. Also, your name, the name of the plane, and
the date of the file should be in the lower left hand corner. This will help us keep track of your job. All cut lines by the
LASER should be RED. If you would like your part numbers etched on your parts, these must be
GREEN. If we have to go into your file
to arrange parts on the material sheets there will be a $30.00 per hr. charge to do the work. If you have any

If you have a project you have been working
on want to see it become a reality, give us a call and see if we can help. We do custom Laser Cutting. Most software
programs are compatable with the Auto Cad Program we are currently using. When you have completed your drawings
and are in the final stages making all the nessary changes, adding the tab or breaks to hold the pieces in the sheet, and
adding part names or numbers, save the completed drawing under a DWG or DFX format. Save it under any Auto Cad,
14-2000 program. You can send the file for a free quote through our email address at: bellhangar@ftc-i.net . That file will come in directly to the office at FunAero R/C
where it will be processed. Most quotes can be give that same day but can take up to 72 hours for a return reply. Most
of our Laser Cutting jobs take 1-4 days and are out for shipment. Some jobs may take longer as the different woods may
